Join online discussion on .Africa domain

In the fast growing Internet-sector in Africa, one of the issues is creation of “.Africa” domain which will include web-names dealing with the continental issues and reflecting the identity of the Africa (e.g. www.travel.africa).  The introduction and management of  “.Africa” domain was discussed during the Workshop on Internet Governance and ICT Policy held in Addis Ababa (6-8 April 2011) and the one held in Pretoria (12-14 April 2011). It raised many questions and dilemmas which we would like to discuss further in online forum with Diplo alumni, broader Internet community, governments, international organizations, civil society, media and others interested in introduction of “.Africa” domain.

This Document for Discussion (texts 1 – 6) is a summary of over 70 inputs of African professionals on the initial draft (archives of comments in texts 8 – 13) with set of key questions related to .Africa domain.
